In the early 1900’s, Cesare and Rosa Mondavi, newlyweds from Sassoferrato in northern Italy, settled in Minnesota. Shortly after their move, prohibition was enacted but a loophole allowing households to produce wine for family consumption paved the way for the Mondavi's to form connections in California, where they would source their grapes for their homemade wine.

Seeing an opportunity, Casare and the family packed their bags and broke ground in California where they would begin their own grape shipping company. It was there that Robert, son of Casare and Rosa got his start. After studying business and chemistry at Stanford University and taking a crash course in viticulture and enology at the University of California at Berkeley, Robert Mondavi immersed himself in all aspects of the wine industry and thus began his empire.

Woodbridge Moscato is light to medium bodied and slightly sweet with citrus flavors that are not overpowering. Balanced out by its bright acidity, the grapes for this wine are sourced in the Lodi region, which is ideal for growing premium grapes thanks to its Mediterranean-like climate.

Notes: Semi-sweet, light-bodied. Aromas and flavors of orange blossom, citrus and apple
Pairings: Roasted chicken, desserts, soft cheeses
Serving Suggestions: Chilled
Region: California
Alcohol Content: 9.5%
