Beringer White Zinfandel & Chardonnay is made using the French method known as blanc de noirs. This method allows the juice to remain in contact with the skins for approximately three hours. This allows the juice to extract the pigment from the skin to give it its pink hue. Comprised of 80% White ZInfandel, which lends the soft and sweetness of this wine, Beringer finishes up the blend by adding 20% Chardonnay to round it out and give it more body. Like most duets these two varietals are better together.
Notes: Semi-dry, medium-bodied. Aromas of red berries, citrus and apple with flavors of pear, vanilla and citrus.
