Gran Centenario Leyenda is among the first Tequilas to ever be awarded the classification "Extra Añejo." Combining only 100% blue agave with an average aging process of 4 years in French Limousin oak barrels, Leyenda has remained the best-kept secret in the highlands of Jalisco.
Crafted by Lázaro Gallardo over a 150 years ago in order to celebrate with close friends, this rare and special extra añejo is comprised of handpicked blue agave that are cooked in clay ovens. Once roasted the pulp is then slowly double-distilled in copper stills before being aged for 4 years in new American oak barrels. Finally, the tequila is blended with tequilas aged up to 15 years, to yield a superb balance of flavors.

unveils a light and sweet woodiness that is accentuated by aromatic flavors of oak, maple, roasted almond and cloves and a long warm cinnamon finish.
