The accidental sensation, Casamigo Tequilas were never intended to become the tequila brand it is today, Casamigos was the consequence of many a night of tequila drinking. However at its heart is a firm friendship between actor George Clooney, Mike Meldman who was his co-star in the movie Oceans 13, and business man and former model Rande Gerber. Created with a desire to create a supremely smooth tequila that required no salt or lime Casamigos was originally destined to be ‘just a house-made tequila’ to be enjoyed only by those who had created it.
Served exclusively in their own homes where friends, family and tequila connoisseurs alike soon fell in love and pressed the three to go public.
Produced only in very small batches Casamegos Blanco is created using agave from the Highlands of Jalisco for distillation. Casamigo Reposado is created in very small batches and contains only 100% Blue Weber agaves grown in cool climate and red clay soil of Jalisco. The matured piñas are harvested with care to selection, then slowly roasted inside traditional brick ovens. Pressed, the juice is fermented for 80 hours using a proprietary blend of yeast, this lengthy process tailored to create this superior quality, highly cultured, smooth and elegant Reposado tequila. Ideal for sipping, shots or cocktails, Casamigos Reposado is oak barrel aged for 7 months.
