Third generation wine maker Enrique Forner took what he learned as a child working in his father's vineyard to the next level when he founded Marques De Caceres Vineyard in 1952 during his exile to France. There he bought two chateaux grands crus classés and was convinced that he would be able to make some of the world’s finest wines.

It would take another 5 years before the war was over and he returned to Spain with his new french methods, which he used to produce such wines as Marques De Caceres Crianza Rioja.

Made from Tempranillo, with small amounts of Red Garnacha and Graciano, this wine is aged 12 months in French (60%) and American (40%) oak barrels. The result is a wine that is full-bodied on the palate with a background of ripe fruit and smooth elegant tannins and a long silky aftertaste.

Notes: Dry, full-bodied. Aromas and flavors of wood, licorice and blackberry
Pairings: Shish kebab, paella, dark chocolate
Serving Suggestions: Room temperature
Region: Spain
Alcohol Content: 14%
