El Dorado Rum is made from fresh, raw sugar cane cultivated in Guyana's rich soil. The sugar cane is hand harvested then transported to the Distillery where the molasses is fermented with a proprietary strain of yeast.
Following fermentation, the rum is distilled through Demerara Distillers' antique wooden and copper stills. Comprised of rums ranging from 21-25 years of age, and matured in American oak barrels. Designed for true rum connoisseurs its warm subtlety is best savored slowly on its own.
Notes: Lush, medium-bodied. Aromas and flavors of tropical fruit, spice, honey and sugar.
