Produced by The House of Kourtakis, this family owned winery dates back to 1895. Founded by Vassilis Kourtakis, who established his winery in Markopoulo, thirty kilometers to the northeast of Athens.
Although Vassilis founded the business, it was his son, Dimitri “Mimis” Kourtakis who catapulted the winery into the modern age. A renowned oenologist, marketing genius, and statesman, Mimis was able to make Kourtaki a household name in Greece and one of the leading brands in the world.
