Ripasso, the italian word for "go over again" is exactly what you will be doing as you endulge in each sip of Bertani Valpoliciella Ripasso. Although we don't doubt the ease of which this bottle will be consumed, the term ripasso actually refers to the traditional winemaking technique that stems from Verona, which involves reintroducing the young Valpolicella wine to the skins at the end of the fermentation of Amarone. Made from 85% Corvina Veronese, 10% Merlot and 5% Rondinella grapes, Bertani Valpoliciella Ripasso has a freshness and drinkability with a richer and more concentrated palate of chocolate and sour cherry.
