E&J’s roots stem back to the Gallo family tree with brothers Ernest and Julio Gallo. With over 30 years of wine making experience the two embrace their love for brandy and decide to create E&J. After five years of testing and tasting in their Fresno distillery, the duo finally came across their signature recipe that is still used to this day.
However, it wasn't until the 1990's that the brand expanded to include E&J V.S.O.P Brandy. Crafted in the classic European style, this brandy is distilled, then charcoal filtered to create a most rich and mellowed palate which is then left to age in select American White Oak casks to highlight the delicate grape flavors.
Notes: Smooth, medium-bodied. Aromas and flavors of caramel, vanilla and maple.
